So why did I decide to feature a star ruby in the Sunrise Ruby earrings?

Yes, that Brian May, of Queen fame, guitar virtuoso, and who also holds a Phd in astrophysics!
The Bang! book is scintillating because, not only does it open up the Universe with riveting images, but the original cover features a lenticular.
What’s a lenticular? Lenticular printing allows an image to morph from one image to another, as you move the lenticular. It is sometimes used in playing cards, DVD covers, and the like.
Similarly, the star effect in the Sunrise Ruby earrings, a natural effect, moves as the ruby is moved.
