Regretfully, there will be NO snow removal provided by the BIA this winter.

Individual businesses are responsible for clearing their own snow and salting. Please be diligent with this as we do not want our valued customers to fall and be injured.

Our past snow removal provider, Islington Nurseries, is no longer a financially viable option to remove the snow on our sidewalks. They chose to double their monthly price with a take or leave it mentality.

As we were the only BIA to provide snow removal services to its Members, we do not have options to look into. 

If anyone has a snow removal connection, please let us know. The provider will need specialized equipment for sidewalks, both snow removal and salting, up to $5 million in insurance coverage and have the capacity to manage 2.6 km of sidewalks at each snowfall.
