STAGE 3 TORONTO - UPDATE

I have received several inquiries with regard to Phase 3 and the lack of clarity of what is and what is not, specifically around hours of operation. The bellow links reflect item CC23.3a REPORT ON ADDITIONAL MEASURES NECESSARY FOR COVID 19. The second link is also of significance at it is Appendix “A” which is referred to in the main report and speaks to additional measures above those imposed by the province.

Most of the concern raised by many of you and your members that reached out was with regard to the possibility of reducing the hours of operation upon eating establishments. Something that was raised by the mayor in discussions with the Premier.

Based on the council decision and these reports, plus appendix there is no such provision/measure imposed by council at this time.

I read all this as hours of operation are as usual for both indoor and out door areas come Friday. Please be mindful of the other measures that were introduced, specifically around tracking and size of gatherings Etc,,,

If anyone has any other information contrary to this please let me know, it took a while to find appendix “A” but it was there.

____________________________

On July 13, the Province announced the implementation of Stage 3 of their “Reopening Ontario” framework for certain regions of Ontario that did not include the City of Toronto.
As of Friday, July 31, Toronto will move to Stage 3 and residents will be allowed to participate in expanded social gatherings and organized public events.

In alignment with the Stage 3 expansion of gathering limits, Toronto's Economic Development & Culture Division, in cooperation with Toronto Public Health, is announcing the release of COVID-19 Guidance for Indoor & Outdoor Events & Gatherings as well as supplemental webinar content.

These guidelines were developed in compliance with the Province of Ontario's Framework for Reopening our Province – Stage 3:
