The Province of Ontario announced that Toronto can enter Step Three of the Province’s Roadmap to Reopen on Friday, July 16 at 12:01 a.m. The Province is moving Ontario to Step Three ahead of schedule because of positive progress in key health indicators, including vaccination coverage.

Ontario investing in Toronto’s tourism sector

The Ontario government is investing $16.3 million in Destination Toronto and the Metro Toronto Convention Centre (MTCC) to support tourism sector recovery in one of Ontario’s key gateway cities. These investments will help sustain operations, protect jobs, and support short- and long-term recovery planning amidst the uncertainty of the COVID-19 pandemic.
