#BUSINESSTONEWS: BUSINESSES AND SERVICES RESTART AS ONTARIO ENTERS NEXT STAGE OF RE-OPENING, GUIDANCE ON PROOF OF VACCINATION REQUIREMENTS AND MORE...

Announcements

Restart of many businesses and services as Ontario enters next stage of re-opening

Yesterday, the City of Toronto resumed many services and reopened facilities as Toronto enters the next stage of the province's reopening framework. Residents are now permitted to eat indoors at bars and restaurants, resume going to gyms and gather with up to 10 people indoors and 25 people outdoors, subject to capacity limits and public health measures. Theatres and museums are also permitted to open. See COVID-19: Guide for Residents for information on what is and is not permitted under the new provincial regulations and the Changes to City Services page.

Provincial guidance on proof of vaccination requirements for businesses

The Ontario Ministry of Health has published a revised Proof of Vaccination Guidance [PDF] document to help businesses and organizations comply with the most recent public health requirements. It’s now mandatory to use the enhanced vaccine certificate with the QR code to gain access to settings that require proof of vaccination. The guidance document specifies the types of businesses where proof of vaccination is required. It also clarifies what constitutes proof of identification, being fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and being entitled to an exemption.
